Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is an annual collection put on by the Samaritan's Purse for children around the world. Each year at CTBC we fill shoe boxes with presents for these children and send them out to the various global locations. Inside these boxes we place gifts, hygiene products, and some clothing. For more information, visit the Samaritan's Purse website.

Love Oak Cliff Day (Sept. 10th 9am-2pm)

On September 10th, Cliff Temple, along with sister churches in the North Oak Cliff area, came together for a day of service. In memory of the events of September 11th, we banded together with others to show Oak Cliff that she is loved by the various communities of faith located here.

2011 Back to School Bash

The Saturday before DISD schools starts up (August 20th, 2011), we helped over 300 children in our immediate community start the school year off the right way. Each year we help these Pk-6th graders by supplying them with school supplies. This endeavor is part of our ongoing effort to help those near our community have a head start on beating poverty. Here at CTBC we believe strongly that a good education is a powerful weapon against poverty. This past year's event took place on August 20th. Please email Wes Keyes or Marsha Mills for more information.

Summer Feeding Program

This summer, along with City Square, Cliff Temple helped make that the kids in our neighborhood didn't go hungry during the months of June-August.

The program began on June 6th and ended on August 19th.

Joplin Mission Trip

Mission Trip from Cliff Temple on Vimeo.

On May 22, Joplin Missouri was struck by what would become the deadliest single tornado in the US in over 60 years. Like many other Christian groups, CBF of Missouri is responding to the disaster in Joplin through the work of many church and ministry partners. Cliff Temple Baptist church is one of those churches partnering in this relief effort. This Tuesday August 2nd, 2011), CTBC and the Well Community will be sending out nine men to assist in the long task of rebuilding Joplin.

MLK Day of Service

Habitat for Humanity

In the Fall of 2009 we got out our hammers; we donned our tool belts; and we climbed up on ladders as we, along with 4 other sister churches, built a home for the Torres family on Pueblo Dr. in West Dallas. Along with this stateside build, we also raised money for the relief efforts in Haiti as Habitat rebuilds homes in the island nation so devastated by the earthquake in January of 2010. We continue to look for new ways to join with HfH as the help people become homeowners.
