Turkey Partnership

In November of 2010 we took our first trip to Turkey to meet the CBF field personnel and gain a better perspective of the work going on in Turkey. After meeting these workers, pastors, and Turkish believers, we felt a strong connection to the work being done there.

In May of 2011, we sent our first short term team to Turkey. These three women met a need for a women's conference in Antioch. They also taught cake decorating, visited a school for the blind, and encouraged the women both Turkish and ex-pat.

As you may already know, Christians are a minority in this moderately Muslim nation. Only three tenths of one percent (0.03%) of the population of Turkey considers themselves Christian, and only three one-thousandths of one percent (0.0003%) are considered evangelical.

We have also made connections with an Iranian pastor who is based out of Istanbul. Pastor F and his wife N, are quite desirous that we work with them in some capacity as well.

The need for the presence of the Gospel in Turkey is great. While we know that there are challenges to the work there, we believe it to be an important location for Christian work and service.

Turkey is an old nation full of interesting history and Christian tradition. This land was once a stronghold of Christianity and now believers are scarce and oftentimes scared. We need workers to answer the call to serve in this ancient land.
