Mission Oak Cliff

The cornerstone of our local mission programs is Mission Oak Cliff, an outreach for families who need assistance in a variety of areas.

In addition to providing emergency food and clothing assistance, Mission Oak Cliff offers several educational opportunities to help our neighbors toward independence. Adult ESL (English as a Second Language) Classes are taught on Tuesday and Friday mornings throughout the school year. Job skills and nutrition classes are provided several times each year, and GED and adult literacy classes are offered off campus in cooperation with other neighborhood help agencies. All of these are wonderful opportunities to get our "everyday missionaries” into the harvest field, making a real difference in the lives of North Oak Cliff families. Teachers are always needed, so if you sense God leading you to be involved in one of these programs, or have ideas about other programs that could help our families to help themselves, contact Marsha at 214-942-6407 or email marsha@clifftemple.org.

Serving the People of Oak Cliff with Love, Compassion, and Dignity

Begun as a food pantry in 1948 by Mrs. Virginia Goslin, Mission Oak Cliff provides emergency food and clothing for 50,000+ people each year. In addition to providing immediate assistance, we also train our clients for life success by providing employment counseling, nutritional counseling, English classes, and more. Satellite pantries housed at several neighboring schools provide emergency assistance to people who cannot easily come to the central facility.

Mission Oak Cliff works with churches and other agencies throughout Dallas to provide a variety of social services to some of Dallas' most needy residents. We are affiliated with the North Texas Food Bank, Meals on Wheels and other help agencies in north Oak Cliff.

We are located at 111 S. Beckley.
