What to Expect
We begin worship at 9 am; Contemporary in the Fellowship Hall, 11 am; English in the main sanctuary and Spanish in the chapel.
The closest entrance to the main sanctuary for the English service is from the steps off 10th Street across from our parking lot. There are also two entrances for wheelchair access to the main sanctuary. First, one may enter under the 10th street awning, going through double glass doors, down the hallway and then through the atrium on the right to the sanctuary. Second, there is a handicap parking lot on the west side of the sanctuary, with a double glass door entrance that leads to the sanctuary on the right.
The closest entrance to the chapel for the Spanish service is off Sunset Avenue. One can park in the parking lot adjacent to 125 Sunset Ave. and enter through the doors marked for Bassett Chapel or through the doors marked "church office," turning down the hallway to the left after one enters.
People dress in a variety of ways for worship. All styles of dress, casual and formal, are welcomed.
"We worship in three distinct styles in three distinct spaces on campus. At 9 am in the Fellowship Hall, our worship band helps lead the Contemporary service. You'll participate in worship with a mixture of songs found among CCLI's top worship songs as well as important hymns and songs from our past reimagined. At 11 am in the Chapel, Cliff Temple En Espanol's worship team leads in a blended style of worship, mostly in Spanish. At 11 am in the Sanctuary, the Temple Choir helps lead in worship with great hymns of the faith, both old and new. Most of the music sung in worship can be found in the Celebrating Grace Hymnal in the back of each pew but we will occasionally revive long-lost hymns or discover brand new ones as a congregation."
