September Elective Course: Enslaved to the God Who Sets Slaves Free: Isaiah's New Exodus
Teacher: Jonathan Hunnicutt
Roll up your sleeves and discover how the Exodus unlocks the book of Isaiah, specifically Isaiah 53. We will use Isaiah to put together the rest of the puzzle of the Old Testament.

Children’s Midweek Reset
On Wednesday nights we invite your child to join us for a midweek reset! We have exciting missions classes and music experiences for kids from age zero through 5th grade. In missions class your child will learn about missionaries around the world and the countries they served. They get to taste foods and learn about different cultures. In music & choir classes kids develop a love for worshipping through song and play while preparing to be a part of our Spring children’s musical!

Midweek Reading Reset
Need space for peace and quiet to read a good book? If so, we designed this midweek reset just for you. Head up to the reading room (Room 232) to get started.

Mission Oak Cliff Midweek Reset
From Monday-Thursday, we serve families with groceries in our shopper’s choice food pantry and up to 100 of our homeless friends with lunch, snacks, and gestures of encouragement. On Wednesdays, let’s give Mission Oak Cliff a weekly reset! We’ll be stocking shelves, packing snack bags and anything else that needs doing. All ages and skill levels are welcome!

Midweek Reset: The Marriage Course
The Marriage Course is a 7-week experience designed to strengthen romantic relationships, whether couples are newly together or have been married for years. Developed by Nicky and Sila Lee at Holy Trinity Brompton in London, the course offers tools to enhance communication, resolve conflict, and build intimacy. The course is accessible to all couples, regardless of their background or faith, and emphasizes private conversations and reflection at tables set for two. Registration ($55 per couple) includes dinner and extended childcare.

Connect with our Mission Partners Daniel and Rachael Shanks
We will have a gathering for supporters, friends, and newcomers to connect with our mission partners Daniel and Rachael Shanks on Saturday, September 27, from 1:30pm - 4:30pm (Come and Go).
Location:
Cliff Temple Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall
134 W 10th St, Dallas, TX 75208 (map)
This will be a time for them to see you, give you a bear hug, and update everyone on ministry in Scotland.
Get a taste of Glasgow with a bagpiper to serenade you as you enter (and to play some traditional Scottish tunes). We will also celebrate together by having a small ceilidh (basically like a Scottish hoedown). We will be teaching you a couple of EASY dances for the ceilidh.
Sandwiches and snacks will be provided, so please RSVP. But come even if you forget to RSVP!

"I Spy" Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt
Let's take a walk around the neighborhood and see what we notice and who we can meet. As part of the 2025 Cliff Temple Spiritual Planning Process, we're taking a deeper look at the community around us to help us notice new opportunities and challenges. Whether you have walked these streets one thousand times or only once, this tool should help you see the Oak Cliff community with new eyes.
